Rock 5B is a single-board computer designed by Radxa. It is based on the Rockchip RK3328 processor and supports up to 4GB of DDR4 RAM. It has a Mali-450 MP2 GPU and supports 4K H.265 decoding.


Batocera.linux is compatible with the Rock 5B board. The following are the requirements to install and run Batocera.linux on Rock 5B:


  1. Rock 5B board with Rockchip RK3328 processor
  2. 16GB or larger microSD card for installation
  3. HDMI cable to connect to a display
  4. USB keyboard and mouse for navigation and input
  5. Ethernet cable or Wi-Fi adapter for internet connectivity
  6. Power supply with a minimum of 5V/2A output
  7. Batocera.linux image for Rock 5B board, which can be downloaded from the Batocera.linux website


Once the requirements are met, follow these steps to install and run Batocera.linux on Rock 5B:


  1. Download the Batocera.linux image for Rock 5B board from the website.
  2. Flash the image to the microSD card using a tool like Etcher or Rufus.
  3. Insert the microSD card into the Rock 5B board.
  4. Connect the HDMI cable, keyboard, mouse, Ethernet cable or Wi-Fi adapter, and power supply to the board.
  5. Turn on the power supply to boot the board.
  6. Select the Batocera.linux option from the boot menu.
  7. Follow the on-screen instructions to set up Batocera.linux.


With Batocera.linux installed and running on Rock 5B, users can enjoy various retro gaming systems, such as NES, SNES, Sega Genesis, and more.
